Garden visitors

Couldn't switch my brain off last night so it was after 4a.m. before I was asleep. After that, I slept like a log and woke to a soothing bath. Spent half the morning clutter-clearing and filled two sacks and half a bin! Tip of the iceberg, but it's a start! That was after our morning coffee. We were sitting in the back when suddenly Mother Mallard and about a dozen or more ducklings trotted past our French window. Couldn't believe our eyes! They had a good peck around and enjoyed the feeling of sitting on the mossy lawn. Such a delight! (The people across the road have a big garden pond, but this is only the second time ducks have visited us, and never with ducklings before. That said, the drake obviously stayed at home this time.) More in Extras.

This afternoon, we both gardened - one at the back, and one at the front. Modest progress, but every little helps. Mr PP made one of his mega cheese, ham and mushroom omelettes for dinner, followed by Lidl tiramisu. A nice way to round off the day.
