Bluebells

After our free coffees in Dobbies we took a pleasant walk along the River South Esk from Lothianbridge (north of the Sun Inn) towards Newbattle.

Birds were singing, a pair of goosanders floated on the water; flowers in abundance - ramsons, wind flower, sweet cicely, blackthorn, garlic mustard, the bluebells just beginning. Oh, and a black cat, hoping the birds and mice hadn't seen it (see extra) and a mass of tadpoles. All under a blue sky but, when exposed, a keen wind.

No bending down was necessary for this photo as they were growing at eye-level on raised ground where we parked the car. How could I resist?

Thanks to BikerBear for continuing to host Flower Friday.
