Holding things together

This is the superstructure of the Oxford ice rink, opened in 1984 and regularly threatened with demolition as a succession of new ideas for using the land it's on are dreamt up then don't get funded.

The only bone I've ever broken was broken in here. A&E told me that that when the rink opened they treated so many broken bones they were contemplating billing the council. Just to round off that miserable day I also got a parking ticket since I couldn't drive my car home.

Today was much, much better than that. The course is a huge amount of work but is starting to feel more manageable.

During July I'm barely looking at journals and won't have time to comment. Feel free to pass on by.
