Ancient Ways

It was too beautiful a day to ignore, so after our virtual support group, went off for a walk up Mount Sharaz, following the ancient schist roadways. This red admiral stopped long enough on one of the stones for a portrait. 

Extra of Mike on the schist path, with Telheiro in the background - the highest building at the top right of the village is Sem Fim, where we meet up with the expats on a Sunday night.

Another extra of the church in the centre of Monsaraz, which has been restored, looking resplendent against the bright sky.

Gratefuls:
- our lovely support group, and Ju and Tom being there with Eden, who was amazingly well behaved
- Paul being home, at No.8, with Ju and Tom, in pain, but out of hospital
- the gorgeous, clear light today (but so cold)
