The National Wallace Monument, Stirling, Scotland

As a birthday treat, my sister and I took Mum on a "Mystery Day Out".

We first visited the Wallace Monument, and then had lunch at The River House Restaurant near Stirling. The food was excellent.

It was a very hazy day, not great for taking pics. The Monument shots were too dark, so I chose this one of Wallace to mark the day.

(PS - son arrived safely in Kenya this evening, baggage intact, he's very excited.)
