Morecambe Bay

We went to Knott End and wandered around on the beach/mud near the shore. We didn't venture very far as it was more mud than sand and the tide was coming in. Two hours after this picture was taken everything you can see was under water.

We could see a group of people on the beach in the distance, and heard some locals talking about it being a "Pub Walk".  When we got closer, and realised they all had dogs, and they were all the same breed, we realised it was a Pug Walk.

We had lunch at a cafe and then took the ferry across to Fleetwood (a five minute journey) and then had a wander along the promenade there. Whilst it was lovely in the sun, the wind was pretty cold! We did find a sheltered spot for a cup of tea.

The photo has been artified with some textures found on our wanderings.

After dinner we had a quick drive down to the coast to see if there would be a nice sunset, but it was setting into cloud.  Tim did see a barn owl at the cottage before we set off, which was a bonus!
