Oh Cock!

This little chap has been sitting on a grave for the last few days, I thought it worth a blip (for the crap pun if nothing else).

35 years ago when I was very junior and working for BT, I spent an entire shift on the phone with a very senior (and very well qualified) exec who was having issues with one of the large billing systems we ran (£50m on an average night). There were 3 systems, all quite similar, the reason he was having issues was that he was logged into the wrong system, a simple mistake but one that is very hard to diagnose when the person is remote and the well qualified user is idiot.

35 years later and I've just spent an hour doing the same thing, although the user in this case isn't an idiot and it is not a multi million quid billing system.
