Lucky or Strong

Portrait shot of a gannet at RSPB Bempton in Yorkshire.
This bird has a black iris in it's eye which apparently is a sign that it has been infected with the often deadly avian flu, which has killed so many seabirds, but has recovered.
It was an amazing day at Bempton. As well as the gannets, there were lots of guillemots, razorbills, kittiwakes, fulmars and we got the huge bonus of a close view of a barn owl as it hunted in the fields.
And it was sunny and warm!!
