For the family

A productive day

A beautiful day, no need for a jacket. Into town for an optician’s appointment. Routine timing, but I was aware that there had been some changes. It took ages to get all the testing done and choices made for the new specs.

We had to put extra money in the parking machine, so that we had time for a light lunch in the quirky coffee shop.

Late afternoon we went to vote in a neighbouring village hall. A place that we hadn’t previously visited. A bonus find was a notice on the board about a monthly sewing and craft group. It has big tables,  space to use sewing machines, no stairs to negotiate and parking at the door. It would be perfect for doing some quilting. So I’ll give it a try.

Home via a garden centre that has recently changed hands. We were very impressed, bought a few things and will be back.

After dinner I did some work in the garden, moving things about and dead heading. B was recruited to shift the heavier pots. Good preparation for tomorrow if the weather holds out!!!
