Anastrangalia sanguinolenta……

the Blood-red Longhorn beetle, was the subject of today’s course and proved a most interesting day.Armed with knowledge about this hitherto unknown invertebrate, which seems to only inhabit Strathspey, we donned our bright pink tabards and headed off to search! It’s a bit early in the year yet though. Found Oystercatchers sitting on nests, saw Goldfinches, Willow Warblers, Pond Skaters, Spiders, Camels Wolves and  other exotics, as the course was held in the Wildlife Park!
