A different experience today - we had a tour of the Torre dell'Orologio in St. Mark's Square (aka the Clock Tower).

Only 10 on the tour and these tours are few and far between.  The access is up through very narrow, very winding sets of spiral staircases - needless to say, we took them VERY carefully indeed.  However - it was a great tour and the views from the top were excellent.  My main photo is across the roof tops at the back of the tower.  This tower was lived in by the clock keeper and his family right up until 1999.  It must have been very uncomfortable, especially since the clock made whirring, clanging and thumping noises 24 hours a day.

Extras include a couple of shots of the front views, and an image, which caught my fancy, of a mirror.  As is the case with many mirrors in Venice, it is made up of squares of glass.  In this case the squares were not very well aligned, making everything seems fractured, and out of line.
