…is a modern gas tanker, here going upstream, seen on the Rhine at km 468 near Biebesheim, Hesse, Germany. 

Its Diesel-electric propulsion is remarkably quieter than other inland vessels of its size. 

(Cuckoos and orioles have arrived in the region and could well be heard. And one cuckoo was even visible, but not photographable).
