Responsibility

This is our small, but flourishing veggie patch. We are currently sprouting broad beans, runner beans, peas, parsnips and curly kale. Oh, and tomatoes in the greenhouse.

I have nothing to do with the veggie patch and do not understand the concept of keeping plants alive - but when my hubby goes into hospital soon I will be responsible for these green and alien creatures - help! Last year he was giving instructions from his hospital bed on how to pinch out the tomatoes - I came home, stared at the plants, and did precisely nothing! They still survived as long as I watered them. I just don't understand this growing veggies lark!
