Droopy and Tired

I was in excruciating pain so my daughter took me to emergency yesterday afternoon. It was a short wait until I got to see a doctor.  My ear was still bleeding when we arrived but the severe pain had decreased a little when my eardrum burst and the pressure was released.  The doctor spent a lot of time cleaning the blood and debris out of my ear but couldn't get it all out so he said he would arrange for an Ear, Nose, and Throat Specialist to see me ASAP. As it turns out, I can't get in to see him until tomorrow. I left the Emergency room with a "wick drain" in my ear, antibiotic ear drops, antibiotic pills, and pain pills; I am grateful for every one of these remedies. I can't hear out of my left ear, pain shoots into my ear when I attempt to chew food. I'm tired, but I can rest on my right side so the continual reddish drainage from my ear is not staining my sheets.

I hope I feel much better after my ENT doctor's appointment tomorrow afternoon and eventually my hearing returns.

My daughter left to fly home to Nevada this afternoon.

This photo of a droopy tulip seems appropriate for today. I think my tulips are all past their prime now.
