Mt Pirongia

A cloudless autumn day and after appointments in Hamilton DrD suggested a drive in the beautiful countryside out to Pirongia . Mostly beautiful dairy farm land with gorgeous lines of cows grazing as they await birth of new calves at the end of winter. The exotic trees are every shade of burgundy through to gold and look such a picture today. Many years ago I tramped to the top of this mountain with a group of farmers wives which enjoyed weekly outings tramping while the children were at school.
