Stained Glass Panels

A welcome coffee this morning in the cafe of the Maryhill Burgh Halls.

When it opened in 1878, Maryhill Burgh Halls contained 20 stained glass panels depicting industries and trades in Maryhill.
The panels were taken from the building in the early 1960s and were in the care of Glasgow Museums while a programme of cleaning, repairing and reframing was undertaken.

The Burgh Halls has had an extensive makeover and the glass panals are now back in their original places high up in the main Burgh Hall itself.

I have chosen just three ....
Teacher
Calico Printers (one of only two panels featuring women)
The Glassblower
