July 4th Celebration in Minneapolis

We had the wonderful opportunity to watch fireworks tonight from a friend's balcony 28 floors above the Mississippi River. This is the view shortly before the fireworks started. The Stone Arch Bridge is packed with people. Many people had been saving their spots since before 5:30 pm!
The 35W Bridge is decked out in blue lights tonight. On August 1, 2007 the old 35W Bridge collapsed into the river killing 17 people and injuring many more.
Can't go without a couple fireworks shots here and here. Quite the celebration in Minneapolis!
