First Pop Of The Poppy
My bank has come up with a novel idea of improving customer services - close the 2 branches nearest here for "refurbishment"* which means you have to travel by bus to get to somewhere that's open.
So Ausländer hopped on the bus and made his merry way to the nearest place to pick up some cash.
Guess what the chances are that the cashpoint I went to had no money?
That's right - 100%.
It gets really wearing when no business offers anything approaching half-decent customer service.
Case in point - the bus service that I used, used to run every 15 minutes on holidays (like today is) from early morning (8am) until pretty late (11pm). But they've improved it. It now runs every 30 minutes and only between 12:30 and 5:30 - that's just brilliant management. Obviously managers travel everywhere in big Mercedes or Porsches and don't understand what the fuss is about...
We're getting to the point when someone is going to say "Well if we don't run any buses, then none of them can be late and no-one can complain about the service". Management level genius.
*I suspect they won't be branches anymore just a hallway with a cashpoint
