Acorns to Oaks?

This is quite a young oak tree growing about 75 metres from the river on  what once was a water meadow which has become overgrown over the years with plants that flourish in a damp environment. The area is still very much a flood plain. The tree, with its fresh green foliage, caught my eye in the afternoon sunshine , and in the foreground are Flag Irises, not yet ready to flower plus a mix of Buttercups and Wild Garlic. Another stunning Summer's day
