Much-needed rain

There was still some drizzle this morning after the rain we had yesterday evening, leaving the soil in the garden properly damp and the plants and shrubs dripping, like this Camassia beside the pond.
Immediately after walking Bertie, myself and three others had to attend a short meeting at the Community Orchard and neighbouring Native Tree Nursery with two representatives from Forestry and Land Scotland. We are hoping to buy from FLS the land on which these two community-run projects are situated in order to secure them for the future. 
After this, it was a quiet day at home, tackling a variety of tasks indoors. Incredibly, my ‘to do’ list seems to be shrinking.
