Persian Buttercup (Ranunculus)

The sun has brought them out just in last couple of days.
Walked in Hamilton wood this morning in lovely sunshine, so no jacket!
One of the hares ran down the track towards us, then stopped. I thought it had spotted us. We stood stock still. Geordie was on the lead, thankfully. Then he ran further towards us and stopped again, turning his ears to pick up sounds. He repeated this another couple of times while we didn’t move an inch, until he noticed us. He just hopped off to the side, under a gate and away across the field. He wasn’t particularly startled and was pretty close to us. I didn’t want to take my camera out in case he saw the movement. It was just so good to see him so close and unperturbed.
This afternoon I took Janice along to Kilminning Nature Reserve where the Crail community have rewilded a large area of the old airfield. Building a large pond and wetland areas, planting hundreds of trees, and sowing wildflowers.
Afterwards we went to Pathhead nursery for compost and plants. Of course, because it was a beautiful sunny day, it was very busy.
