Oriental Poppy

I have some buds on my poppy plants but as yet no flowers. This very blousy Poppy is growing by the gate of a nearby house and I couldn't resist stopping the car and nipping out to take a quick photo.

Out for a double birthday celebration lunch today. A great day for a drive down to Piersland House in Troon ...... no tea needed tonight although I confess to enjoying a small bowl of Cantaloupe melon.
