Wild Garlic

A lovely warm day. Don't need a coat on the lunchtime walk, even though the sun is behind the clouds. In the woods, the few-flowered leek are starting to die back and have been replaced by wild leek and bluebells. These will be the last flowering plants on the woodland floor as the leaf canopy will soon block out the sunlight. There is a brief sign of the sun over lunchtime, but the clouds soon return.

On the after work walk, even my partner doesn't wear a coat. The breeze is quite warm and gentle. Not putting the heavy coats away just yet though, it is still May after all.
