Cumbria Here I Come

By marpaul

A beautiful sunny day today and quite warm too.  Went to Buttermere with Misty quite early in the hope of seeing reflections.  The wind was light and the reflections came and went.  Misty was very happy as she did lots of swimming.  By the time we left it was so very busy and the car parks were full.  Back at the car I noticed a lot of blue through the trees so went to investigate and was met with a carpet of bluebells.  Had to blip Misty posing with them as they will soon be gone.  Another in extras, also Misty swimming and the Buttermere version of the Loch Ness Monster!

The journey home along the Buttermere road was awful ... so many people visiting the Rannerdale bluebells and parking on the narrow road.  Came to a standstill for quite a while when a coach and farm vehicle with a trailer met head on!   The farm vehicle/trailer managed to reverse along the road to a spot wide enough for the coach to get past.
