Its all in the timing ....

Beautiful, hot, sunny day today. Very busy though, but finally got half an hour to myself to get the camera out and get todays blip so pulled off the motorway at Ellesmere Port ... cue clouds, rain, thunder.

When i was sat in the rain cursing it, i started thinking that it was on this day in 1916 the battle of the somme started. Over 20,000 british soldiers died on that 1st of July - it went on until November by which time over 400,000 british troops had died.

Sometimes I think we dont realise how lucky we are, stress at work seems very minor on days like today.
