The voice activated assistant, irritatingly draws my attention to any number of things that I don't have the slightest interest in. however  did it alert me to the opportunity that, probably for the 1st time in history we might be able to see the Northern Lights in Surrey. No, it did not. These photos were taken by various neighbours who, yes did put out a message on WhatsApp but I have my phone on silent between 2200 and 0700 so wasn't alerted. But apparently (according to one neighbour who is an astrophysicist) "the solar storm is still intense at the moment and so hopefully will continue on through to tonight".
