Production...

is underway for real!!!   Got tea-cups, wine cups and bowls made today....now to have a rest then Terry is treating to dinner at the Black Spoon - might even put on some lipstick :)

I've spent some time today pondering this transition period that takes place each year!   I often feel a bit sad at the prospect of not painting every day (or at least every day i want to!!!) and having to 'work' back in the pottery.  But truth be told there is a certain aspect of satisfaction along with the lack of 'struggle' that often accompanies a painting....and also to say i do miss the painting process!   There is comfort in the rhythm of making pots, that has always been there....and today i really paid attention to this while i threw cups and bowls etc.   Listening to some good music and looking out over the pond....it's a pretty good life :)

ps.  those black shapes are mugs that i threw the other day being kept moist so i can attach handles - tomorrow is trimming and handle day!
