We have worked all day in the garden, progressing the Little Garden Project yet further.

Today's task was a big one. Levelling off a section of ground that was rough and on a slope that was not conducive to the wellbeing of old codgers who are not good on their feet.

D, Ell, P (AKA Mrs i) and I have all been involved but the head honcho is D, who took it upon himself to buy a rotavator. He is a gadget whizz and set to with great gusto. (No magician's were harmed during this process)

Whilst he disturbed the ground we all helped to take out rock, weed, roots etc to prepare the ground for levelling and grass seed. It will be a lovely lush lawned area and walkway this time next year. Of course it will.

A hot dirty and sweaty  day but ultimately very satisfying. Fun for D with his big boys toy!

My extra is a shot of a pot plant by Mrs Greenfingers herself. A beautiful white Saxifrage set against the rhodendron that was already in a border when we moved here in 2022.

This garden will be worthy of  'open days' when we have finally completed it.

If we live that long....
