Swimming Certificate

Over the last year we have collected all the family history, photos, etc in the house prior to the house sale. Today we noticed an envelope at the back of a bookcase. The contents were two beautiful swimming certificates awarded to mum in law in 1937, one for 100yrds and one for 50 issued by Addlestone Swimming Club.
We went to the care home this afternoon .
Later I am going to write up the day for the Mass Observation May 12 diary day, and try to make it interesting, though that is not the purpose.
