Welsh Folk Museum

Jude and I went off to the Welsh folk museum at st. Fagans this morning! It is a marvellous place with lots of space and buildings from all over Wales brought here and rebuilt to show the development of buildings and how they were used. There were a number of buildings with thatched roofs and each one looked different under the thatch! This particular house had a very intricate thatch from inside! And a four poster bed and lots of space with a bed for the maid downstairs to keep the fires burning through the night!

Extras: different roof structures, the first and last are the same building with Judy standing outside it. (Love the sky above the cowshed) Slate roof but supported by wooden construction! The second is a thatched barn and the third a cockfighting pit
