It Was Warmer Inside

We didn't get to bed until midnight on Wednesday, but managed to get up at 4:15 this morning, and arrived at Mount Bakery just after it opened at 5:00. This abnormal behavior was prompted by the possibility of seeing blip friends, and their villages that we've visited, during the TV coverage of the Tour de France.

The strong coffee jolted away any lingering drowsiness as we watched the race and waited for the almond croissants, fresh from the oven at six o'clock. They were really good -- just like the ones we've had in France.

We didn't see our villages or blippers, but we enjoyed our first exposure to the Tour, although for a while Cynthia's attention -- and her camera -- were focussed on her croissant.

I crawled back into bed at 8:00 and slept for an hour and a half, before going to my regular pickleball session. I didn't play very well!
