Summer here is like winter in temperate regions. Everyone minimizes their time outdoors. So young boys spend most of their time reading, playing video games, and playing with their Legos (in approximately that order). I decided today that the boys needed not only to get out of the house, they needed to move their bodies.

We headed to the recreation center. Bob scaled the lower half of this wall twice, but did not get past the ledge to the upper half. Then we hit the pool. The pool was a madhouse. There were people everywhere. They had all kinds of sprayers going, which seemed only to render those sections of the pool kids only (apparently adults do not like being constantly sprayed in the face). Eddie's favorite part was the slide (I think it is 3 stories high). Bob's favorite part was the lazy river. Specifically, he liked it when I launched an inner tube with Bob and Eddie on top because it would inevitably flip because Eddie weighs 30 pounds more than Bob. They asked for me to launch them over and over. And they flipped over and over, giggling like crazy every time.

As our time was drawing to a close, Eddie begged to stay longer at our house. His parents said yes, so we had 3 more hours with Eddie, most of which were spent with the 3 men (James, Bob, and Eddie) playing Minecraft.

All in all, a good day.
