Not as good as we wished

Jack and I had been looking forward to a trip to London to see The Hills of California, Jez Butterworth's new play.  We had both enjoyed his last 2 plays especially The Ferryman which I saw twice! So we were disappointed with this new one.  Actors were good, set was great.  But the play itself was poor and in some places quite dull.... someone should have told Jez this is not ready for the west end stage.

Then after the show and another pizza treat we headed home only to be greeted at Finsbury Park station with cancelled trains.  We waited over an hour for one that would take us to St Neots.  What an end to a day that was meant to be very enjoyable!
