Makers Fair

Some time ago we booked to go to the Makers Central fair in Birmingham. ( The NEC for the second time this week but less traffic this time)
Slightly regretted it this morning when it was a lovely day. But we went and enjoyed it. It covers crafts and “ making” of all sorts of stuff. One of the stars was Colin Furze . I’d never heard of him but he is a huge star on Tik Tok  YouTube etc and his passion is for crazy inventions and getting kids to learn about making and inventing stuff. He’s written books about these projects. There were long queues of people just wanting selfies with him. One of his inventions was this bonkers Pizza motorbike in the photo.
There was a lot of stuff to do with computer design for…. almost anything you want to make and a local company called Vectric seemed popular. They make “ Design software for CNC routing, milling and engraving” all very fascinating no doubt to those who are not technophobes!
There were also demonstrations of paint pouring, felting, leatherwork, Indian wood block printing, polymer clay modelling and  all manner of other crafts, which I found slightly more comprehensible.
