Today we're in a hotel meeting room thrashing through ideas and methods to develop the next organisational strategy. The sun-drenched window of the upper floor venue afforded this view of Msasani Bay, a notable feature of Dar es Salaam. Nowadays the old settlement of Msasani has been subsumed into the city's rampant development. However, a traditional core remains and old homes belonging to the traditional fishing community sit incongruously next to condominiums and hotels belonging to international chains.
