Thick Legged Flower Beetle

He has many names including Oedemera nobilis, and Swollen Thigh Beetle.
Pollinator of cow parsley, ox-eye daisy and bramble he prefers the fine weather when he is easily visible.  This one was inside the back door so I carefully put him outside onto the wet stone - insects tend to dry up inside if not released quickly.

A heavy shower in the afternoon which put paid to the cream teas in the garden of a local large house - it was moved to the village hall.
