Here and Now

Over There

A one-hour TA shift with MS today at West Creek Reservation, followed by a two-hour hike to see the land acquired that is being transitioned to natural parkland.  Peter, a naturalist that specializes in water projects, led the group of about 30+ TAs through some rigorous hilly terrain in hot and humid 84 degrees.  He described how the streams and ponds will change over time, how they planted dead trees and willow stalks to attract insects and birds to help naturalize the area.

I saw a banner over Rockside Road on the way home.  Lump in my throat.  We need more guys like him. RIP.  Amazing how so many people came from far and wide to honor him along with dozens of local communities.
