Return visit

A beautiful day today so a trip into town meant parking uphill and walking down so that having staggered back up Steep Hill I could return to the new stonework that we spotted had been revealed on the cathedral when we were wandering up there the other night. Not the right angle to see the whole of this new gargoyle but you can definitely see the difference between the old and the new stonework.

An impromptu trip out to a kennels this afternoon, spotted on a bike ride this morning (not by me I hasten to add!) No border terriers but lots of very cute puppies, including two black miniature schnauzers who were definitely the cutest. Two pubs on the way home, with lovely fish and chips at the second one. And it's still a glorious evening.
