Mystery animal

 
This strange creature greeted me when I walked into the Royal Society Academy this afternoon to see the annual RSA exhibition in Edinburgh.
 
Called “Beast” by Rae -Yen Song, song dynasty, it’s a sculptural costume piece  made from paper- mache, steel, polyurethan, gold leaf, and metal bells. (Yours for £2,000).

 One of the young gallery assistants agreed to pose beside it.  I managed to squeeze in a short visit to this annual exhibition while in the city but there is so much to see that it warrants another one, or two, visits. It runs until June 16.

PS. thank you all for your kind comments on yesterday's blip about our annual garden opening fund raising venture. Our five gardens raised a total of £2,220.70p to be divided between Artlink central ( local charity to help the arts), St Saviours church, and Scotlands Gardens Scheme.
