It's Come!

Up to now we've been using the (horrible) fridge that came with the house - it's small, with a miniscule freezer section and, as you can imagine it's just not big enough for a hot summer... or any summer at all come to that. Added to which Steve's on injectable medication which has to be kept cool. It runs on butane because folk who live "en campo" like we do often do not have enough electricity to run a fridge freezer.

But we do have enough electricity, courtesy of three solar panels, two wind generators and a big bank of batteries.

Last week we went into our village ferreteria (hardware shop) and there, on the counter, was an advertisement for a fridge-freezer with A++ rating, and at a very reasonable price. We ordered one there and then and it's now arrived!

It's wonderful. The medication takes up only half a shelf instead of a whole one and the Coke bottle actually fits in the door! As for frozen food... we've got to go shopping!
