It has been a thoughtful day

Rain, wind, fallen leaves, sick family members, rest home residents and then a trip to help with a struggling parishioner's situation. I have an enormous bag full of washing to take to the laundromat tomorrow. It is a privilege to have the time to do this and to help, but it is worrying and sad as well: our health care and housing systems are failing so many vulnerable people.
