Common Centaury or Feverwort

Centaurium erythraea

I have decided to gradually record the wild flowers that grow along a section of the coast to the south of Kirkcaldy. Some of those will appear here as blips - some already have. You will of course only get to see the most photogenic ones.

Today I offer you Centaury. It grows mainly in coastal regions but is much more common in the southern half of the UK than it is in Scotland.

These flowers are not yet fully opened and I may blip again at a later date to show them in all their glory.
