Well Travelled

Salvia cyanescens, it's a Sage. The original plants were collected as seed in Turkey many years ago by legendary plant collector Jim Archibald. My plants came as seed from Panayoti Kelaidas at the Denver Botanic Garden so this plant really has been round the world!

From large, intensely silver-hairy leaves tall stems sprout, bearing many of these architectural flowers. I'll be collecting seed later so I can hand it on again :-)

A long day at work today, such a contrast to last Saturday. At least this weekend I have sunshine for my early morning blip!
