Grevillea flowers.....

....smothered with tiny gems each with a tiny reflection of a damp autumnal garden. 

Mum tells me we had an inch of rain yesterday, not nearly enough to saturate dry conditions but it's better than nothing. Lovely to be out for lunch and chat with mum and E before going grocery shopping. 

Unfortunately our topic of conversation was the scrapping of our governments First Home Grant for first home buyers, a grant of 10K which E and T were hoping to get. Leaves me wondering what happens to our young ones, those who are not classed for social housing, who are not on any benefits, who work two jobs and yet haven't got quite enough to meet rising house prices, it's very frustrating, perhaps owning your own home in NZ is sadly becoming a thing of the past.
