Potato drills

More agricultural landscape. Deep trenches like this signify growing potatoes, quite possibly seed potatoes which do well in this area. The distant black specs in the sky are rooks, around the rookery in those trees. 

Bright sunny morning. Did some hand sewing, putting a big patch on a Tana lawn dressing gown I made many years ago; lawn isn't the most substantial of stuff and this has been washed often. Had a late afternoon visitor; turns out to my surprise that she doesn't know how to make patches, though she's the kind of person who would and does repair things. There will be a sewing lesson in the future ..
