Common Blue butterfly

After a horrible cold and rainy start to the day (we even had the central heating on for a few hours!), the sun came out this evening, so we went for a wander with the dogs down to the loch shore. I saw this tiny Common Blue butterfly just outside the house. When they fold their wings up they are a completely different pattern underneath; very pretty. As much as I hate the flutteriness of butterflies and moths, I can cope with these little ones (as long as they don't fly towards me!).

Edit: Coincidentally Marita has captured the underneath of the wings today, so you can see exactly what I mean about the different sides of the wings.
