The footballing part of the city has been eagerly looking forward to this weeks Whitecaps match again Miami, Messi is coming. And Suarez, and Busquets!
Tickets were selling many times over the odds. In fact, an additional 30,000 tickets were sold over normal attendance levels.
Today, it was announced that it looks as though none of the three would be coming to Vancouver.
I never expected Messi to make the trip, astro turf and all that,. I wonder how long it will take the Whitecaps PR machine to get over this.

Oh, and the best way to eat a pork pie? Cold, with real, hot, mustard.
