The Pensioner

By Pensioner

Here's one I did earlier...

Eeech, another wet old day. As we sped over the Water of Leith down at the Shore it looked like it was in full spate; maybe even enough to sweep away the detritus that’s been building up in the basin for the past year.
We were off to Leith Croft community garden place for a course in making your own ginger beer. What larks. And we each came away with a jar of ginger bug which will apparently need daily feeding, and a bottle of the pop itself. Not exactly lashings, then. But we do have a very small house.
And at 10:30pm it felt even smaller as the nippers arrived from down south. They’re nabbing the SK's car tomorrow and heading to some posh wedding down East Lothian way so we’ll not see them again till Sunday. Just long enough to show Haydy baby my strimmer. I know he’ll want one.
