William goes for a paddle...

When I was with friends this past weekend, she gave me some things she thought "I could do something with".  One was a small banana leaf container.  As soon as William saw it he said, "That can be my boat!"  It did remind me of the circular boats called coracles used in the 19th century in Scotland, Ireland and Wales.  So, we took it out for "sea trials" in the bird bath.  It seems, however, banana leaves do not make good boats and William sunk rather quickly.  It is a good thing that mice are decent swimmers!  Not as hot today, thankfully.
