I got slightly wet on the quick morning scuttle to the shop for oatcakes and soya milk, considerably wetter on the afternoon run to the card shop and then very wet indeed on the leisurely evening cycle to deliver the card, on the way back from which I visited the rushing Esk, Brunstane and Figgate burns and the giant puddle which forms on Seafield Road where B&M used to be which seems like it ought to be deep enough to catch unwary cars but through which several successfully passed as I watched. The water was still a couple of feet shy of the roof of the culvert which takes the Figgate beneath the prom but was spurting out of the hatches beside it.
